How we got our name
It's simple really. See those two kids in the picture? Well, as in most young boys growing up, they were slightly mischievous and thus would drive their childhood babysitter, Brydie, crazy with their antics. Brydie, being from the old country, realized the best deterrent for the two was to threaten them with a wooden spoon (as seen is the adjacent picture). Mind you, it wasn't ever used, just shown in a dramatic fashion. Over the course of several years, those same two boys seemed it a fitting game to see how far they could push the envelope with Miss Brydie before she would reach for "The Spoon". Then one day, all of the sudden, Miss Brydie abruptly quit her job caring for those two boys and moved right back to Ireland. The reason you ask? We'll as it turns out she won 2 million dollars in the lottery. So in honor of Brydie and with the hope a little of her luck headed our way when we started, we named our company Brydie Spoon.
